Our Tutorial programme is a weekly two-hour, in-person class where you’ll study your set texts, practise close analysis and keep developing your writing throughout the term.

If you’d like more one-to-one help, Mentorship includes everything in Tutorial, plus five private lessons for essay planning, individual feedback and assessment preparation.

Talk It Through

You don’t have to arrive with a perfect interpretation. In our small group classes, we’ll take each text apart together—looking closely at the language, sharing different readings and asking the questions that lead somewhere interesting.

Hearing how other students approach a text can help you notice things you might have missed. It also gives you the chance to explain your own ideas before you have to put them on the page.

Put Your Ideas into Words

Knowing what you think and writing it clearly are two different skills. We’ll help you turn class discussions into focused arguments, choose evidence that actually supports your point and build responses that sound like you.

You’ll receive feedback on selected written work, course materials to use between lessons and ongoing email support when you get stuck.

I have had an amazing experience learning and developing my English skills during my tutoring sessions with Fifi. When I first joined in Year 10, I was ranked around 60th in my cohort. Through our lessons, I ranked 4th overall at the end of Year 12.
